
quite possibly the coolest graffiti project i have ever seen. absolutely amazing animation considering all of it was done in public as painted graffiti on walls & sidewalks. wow. i’m talking about muto: an ambiguos animation painted on public walls, done in buenos aires and baden. wow. double wow. the amount of planning and time this must have taken boggles the mind. please watch it. it should amaze you. be sure to also check out blu’s other amazing animations & videos when you can.

a new art show opening titled solo flight featuring the art work of mike davis will be held at the lovely white walls gallery in san francisco this saturday night (3/15/2008). the show runs through to april 14, 2008. peep the white walls website for a preview of the show and more information.

i’ve been really enjoying the art of aaron jasinski. great illustrations, style, scenes, and colors. his website has a great interface too, but you will find his gallery on deviantART easier to peruse. thank you aaron for your work!

great art show coming to white walls gallery in SF this saturday. the show is titled mescalito and it’s featuring the work of three enlightened and powerful artists: mars-one, oliver vernon, and damon soule. giantmonster favorites, all in one show! opening reception october 14th from 7pm - 11pm. show runs through to november 4th. you should go, but only if you want to see beautiful, fanastic, and amazing artwork. here’s a map to the white walls gallery. see you there!



an old post (from 2001) but still a really lovely photo blog of buddhist monks constructing a sand mandala painting of the medicine buddha. the two buddhist monks, who came from the namgyal monastery in ithaca, new york, created the five and a half foot mandala for the ackland art museum’s yager gallery of asian art - located in north carolina. the construction took from february 26th through to march 21st. the detail is incredible. use the links on the top of the page (the dates in green) to go through all the photos, including the dismantling of the mandala.
bob ross, master painter, simply rules. you will see and you will know. i loved his show the joy of painting. watch this great youtube video of bob ross doing his thing. so cool! the sound of his creamy, friendly voice … so … soothing … i am lulled into a calm tranquil world of happy beautiful birch trees. and owls. enjoy!

i am really liking the illustrations and art of marcos chin. very stylish. very feeling. very alive. the site is in frames, but the artwork more than makes up for it. you may have seen one or two of his ads for lavalife. his personal work is great too! for more images and info, check out the great interview with marcos chin on ventilate.
