it’s friday and let’s celebrate billboards. first, there’s the fantastic AT&T and the National Security Agency billboard re-interpretation done by the marvelous billboard liberation front (BLF) around san francisco. awesome! thanks BLF! (& here’s more detailed photos of the AT&T & NSA billboard and the billboard liberation front’s photostream on flickr). if you don’t know what the connection is between AT&T and the NSA, there is plenty to read online about domestic spying.

and although it has nothing to do with the NSA, there’s is the equally powerful king of jews - king of beers billboard masterpiece done near hoston, texas back in 2006. i’ve always looked at billboards as public space and am glad to see these magnificent uses of those public spaces. more please!
breakfast can be magical and friendly again when you are able to burn any image you want into your toast. i’m talking about DIY laser engraved toast! nice article on how to burn the image of jesus or david hasselhoff or erik estrada onto some bread. the instructions start off with 1) find some time to kill, 2) get access to a laser etching system, and goes from there.
next meal time if someone says ‘these pancakes will be a religious experience’ or ‘jesus - this tastes amazing’ they may be correct. embolden your next omlette, flapjack, or fry-able food item with the welcoming image of the son of god with the jesus pan. and though you may end up burning in hell for all eternity, at least your food won’t burn and stick ’cause the jesus pan is made of non-stick material! yay! thank you jesus pan! via metafilter.
