i’ve been really enjoying the art of aaron jasinski. great illustrations, style, scenes, and colors. his website has a great interface too, but you will find his gallery on deviantART easier to peruse. thank you aaron for your work!

i’m very happy to see the beautiful paintings and illustrations of the talented bay area artist larissa martin online! please visit larissamartin.com when you get a moment. some really beautiful works in the paintings section (and in the watermedia & drawings sections as well). there is also a shoppe section showcasing her current original works available for purchase. very stylish website layout too.
can’t remember how i found this link. but i really liked the profile on this incredible animatronic human sculpture / armature and the artist who made it, mark ho. really amazing work. mark ho was working as a director and script writer who later decided he wanted to be a machinist and have more control over his art. the armature is made entirely of bronze and stainless steel. he titled it ZOHO art form 1 and it took over six years to make. the whole article is a great read. and if you scroll to the bottom you can see more images of the armature and how it can be posed and balanced to take on human gestures.
bob ross, master painter, simply rules. you will see and you will know. i loved his show the joy of painting. watch this great youtube video of bob ross doing his thing. so cool! the sound of his creamy, friendly voice … so … soothing … i am lulled into a calm tranquil world of happy beautiful birch trees. and owls. enjoy!
UPDATE:
bummer! video pulled due to copyright violation filed by Bob Ross inc. darn.
i am really liking the illustrations and art of marcos chin. very stylish. very feeling. very alive. the site is in frames, but the artwork more than makes up for it. you may have seen one or two of his ads for lavalife. his personal work is great too! for more images and info, check out the great interview with marcos chin on ventilate.
giantmonster loves all things sasquatch, yeti, skunk-ape, yowie, and bigfoot! so the elders were very pleased after getting a heads up from rhode on the very rad embroidery art of megan whitmarsh. very lovely stuff. i found out all of these great embroidered bigfoot pieces are sold. that is sad for you and me, but happy for megan whitmarsh. worth checking out.
