Yeah that snippet is from the Blair Brothers “Ring of Fire” series, all of which are deeply marvelous and worth spending a few evenings watching sequentially.
The sad note is how much the world has changed in the relatively short time since they short their video. The places made so magical by the journey involved in getting there are now blown out tourist destinations.
I actually SAW Lawrence Blair driving in Kuta when we were in Bali. If you have seen the video you’ll note that they built a home there.
What are the odds that in my two days in Kuta, I’d just look over and see Lawrence Blair in his VW thing, waiting to make a left turn?
