is it me you’re looking for? answer: yes. why wasn’t sculpture class like this when i was in school? to truly understand the magic of the video for Hello by lionel richie, one must become the video for Hello by lionel richie. hence, the hello experiment. the hello experiment seeks to capture the wonder, imagination, and beauty that is lionel richie’s massive jaw lovingly formed in wet brown clay by sightless, open hearted souls. awesome! it’s either a goofy and fun nostalgic paraody or a tragic spell created by demons to open a hell-mouth that will swallow us all. watch and see (note: please download the song Hello at your leisure so you can sculpt your very own lionel richie). thanks cobras!

the science unit at giantmonster has concluded that the battery pack module we recently installed in one of our life-like cyborg Nick Nolte units has a malfunction, causing the system software to crash. some of the servo motors in this particular cyborg nolte will need to be replaced as well. we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. thank you derek for helping to locate our malfunctioning robot nolte.
an exciting article over on sciencedaily covering a breakthrough in solar technology. researchers at the new jersey institute of technology (NJIT) have found a way to make inexpensive flexible solar panels that can be printed out or painted onto a surface, making them very easy to produce. awesome! lead researcher Dr. Somenath Mitra states “Someday homeowners will even be able to print sheets of these solar cells with inexpensive home-based inkjet printers. Consumers can then slap the finished product on a wall, roof or billboard to create their own power stations.” the new solar cell technology uses cylindrically shaped carbon nanotube complexes combined with tiny carbon Buckyballs (known as fullerenes) to harvest the sun’s energy. read more about the science behind the new solar panels at sciencedaily or at the NJIT website.

it’s friday, and my philippine prison is waaay better than your crummy american prison! how so? while your prisoners are busy hiding meth in their orifices, lifting weights, and fighting, my super rad phillipine prisoners from the Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center in cebu, philippines, are busy re-enacting all the dance moves from the michael jackson video ‘Thriller’. yes. really. in unison. all 1,500 of them. complete with a (scary - yikes) tranny stand-in for ola ray. POW!

really liking the video for the song ‘ding’ by the german reggae/dancehall band seeed. it features some really nice stop motion animation. honestly, what is not to like about a red hairy ape in a top hat drinking & dancing at a club?

wow. there’s crazy post on who-sucks dot com titled monstrous myostatin misfortunes with equally crazy pics of some mighty massive muscle magnification caused by myostatin deficiency. oh my! myostatin is a hormone that regulates muscle growth. too much myostatin and you may not have enough muscle mass. too little myostatin and, well, you are super buffed and strong without really trying. i have to remember to ask santa for just a wee bit of a myostatin deficiency this year. yikes.
i just read this story titled drug czar gives warning: federal official calls marijuana growers dangerous terrorists. terrorists? i have to do a double take on the use of the word ‘terrorists’. really? are you serious? yes, i guess you are. John P. Walters, the director of National Drug Control Policy in the US states is noted as saying ‘the people who plant and tend the gardens are terrorists who wouldn’t hesitate to help other terrorists get into the country with the aim of causing mass casualties.‘ wow. that is pretty heavy. so marijuana growers are classified as terrorists? i have yet to see any pot growers bomb embassies or fly planes into buildings. but he must know what he’s talking about. Mr. Walters, directing a message at marijuana smokers & users, is also quoted as saying “Don’t buy drugs. They fund violence and terror.” really? okay. i agree on that - funding violence and terror is a bad thing.
hey, speaking of funding violence and terror and the war on drugs, did you know that in may of 2001 the united states gave $43 million dollars to the Taliban government in afghanistan for declaring the cultivation of opium poppies illegal? yes. with US tax dollars that could have gone to any number of domestic policy issues, the bush administration gave $43 million dollars in funding to the Taliban regime. nevermind that, at that time, the Taliban government was giving sanctuary to Osama bin Laden (wanted then for the 1998 bombing of the US embassies in Africa), the Taliban government was providing a base of operations for the al-Qaeda network, the Taliban government was known for committing massive human rights violations, or that the opium ban was never enforced and was actually used by the Taliban to drive up opium prices and raise more money (brilliant marketing move though).
“Don’t buy drugs. They fund violence and terror.” i love the irony of our federal government. really. it’s fantastic! take the profit out of pot and legalize marijuana already. this war on drugs is just idiotic.
i am really liking the homebrew biodiesel processors for sale over at biodiesel warehouse. for the price of a new laptop ($2,000) you can get a complete biodiesel processing system that generates 55 gallons of biodiesel fuel in just 3 hours of hands-on processing time. if you’re not liking the hands-on approach, they offer a fully automated biodiesel processor model costing $7,000 but there’s no measuring or mixing of materials required (processes 50 gallons of fuel in about 60 hours). so nice to see these alternative fuel systems becoming much more accessible to the general public.
it’s friday and time more fun with puppets! this time it’s a bit instructional and a bit musical. get the simple how-to on how to make a beat from this funky puppet with an english accent. so clever, you’ll watch it twice. nice.
