this is very cool! not quite a bionic eye, but still amazing. it’s called the Implantable Miniature Telescope (IMT) and it is intended to be a permanent solution for vision loss due to age-related macular degeneration. the IMT is built by VisionCare and is currently in phase II/III clinical trials. in honor of this rad invention, i’ve posted the opening credit theme music and closing credit theme music to the six million dollar man tv show. awe-shum!
